Actor Robert Hegyes, one of the stars of the ’70s sitcom “Welcome Back Kotter” died today of a heart attack.
Hegyes is known for her role as Puerto Rican-Jew on the show – Juan Luis Pedro de huevos Phillipo Epstein. Epstein for short.
Hegyes back again with John Travolta and Sweathogs years ago to accept the 35th Anniversary Awards TV Land.
He also co-starred in the hit drama, “Cagney and Lacey.”
Hegyes was in his home in New Jersey this morning when he suffered a heart attack. He died at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ. He was 60 years old.
