Apple has an update posted on its OS X 10.5 Leopard release. The 10.5.5-update includes a number of security and stability fixes.
Of the 26 security patches have been established for the vulnerabilities in QuickDraw and ImageIO, which could allow a malicious user to run malicious code on a particular machine.
The stability fixes include improved performance iPhone syncs, faster Spotlight search, and what Apple terms “comprehensive graphical improvements.” Solutions were also issued for the Address Book, Mail and Time Machine.
Apple has also released an updated version of Remote Desktop component for administrators and customers that stability and security is established. This update is available for OS X 10.3.9 and 10.4 users, and 10.5.
The updates are the latest in a busy two weeks for Apple. After the release of new iPods on Tuesday that the company had to issue updates to iTunes, QuickTime, and the iPhone, as well as a complementary solution to a problem in the Windows version of iTunes 8.
